PROFILE
Background
The
Asian Council of Logistics Management (ACLM) was established
in 1996. It is a non-profit organization of professionals
interested in improving logistics management skills.
It works in co-operation with the industry and various
organizations to further the understanding and development
of the logistics concept. It does it through a continuing
program of formal activities, research and informal
discussions designed to develop the theory and understanding
of logistics process, promote the art and science of
managing logistics systems and foster professional dialogue
and development within the profession, interact with
sister Professional bodies. The ACLM has been recognized
as one of the 78 world bodies of Logistics Professionals
in the directory published by Council of Logistics Management,
USA. It has reciprocative arrangement with 16 world
logistics professional organization all over the world.
